Our Story
Our Roots: A Vision Born from Love: Growing up in Mangrove Cay, Andros, Bahamas, was an experience filled with sunlit days and the rhythmic sounds of the sea. Our parents instilled in us a deep love for this land and a vision for what it could become. Our mother, an accomplished chef with a passion for hospitality, dreamed of building a resort that would welcome travelers from near and far. Despite her tireless efforts, including purchasing furniture for the units before her passing in 2012, she never got to see her dream fully realized. Our father, a dedicated fisherman who is now retired, worked day and night to support the family and nurture the idea of a place where people could come and experience the beauty and culture of our island. Their vision has become ours, and we are determined to bring it to life, blending luxury with heartfelt ownership.
A Journey Through Loss and Renewal: Life took us on different paths after we left for college, pursuing varied careers and dreams deferred. For many years, the property remained untouched, a silent witness to time passing and dreams deferred. The loss of our beloved mother and later our brother weighed heavily on our hearts, making it difficult to move forward. The main building our parents built began to fade, succumbing to nature’s relentless touch. But now, as the five of us sisters reflect on our parents’ legacy, we are driven by a collective determination. We see this as an opportunity to honor their memory; to create a place where their passion and dreams can flourish and where our father can see the culmination of years of hope.
Breathing Life Into a Dream: With renewed inspiration, we plan to develop new beachfront units that capture the luxurious spirit our parents envisioned. The original main building, rich with memories and potential, may find new life as a gift shop or a charming set of standard units, preserving its legacy while embracing the future. Our mother once began crafting a gift shop for tourists within this very structure, an endeavor that now inspires us to continue her work. This is not just about building structures; it’s about weaving our family’s history into a new chapter—one that guests from around the world can experience firsthand.
